Live wedding painting has, from its beginning, been a luxurious and intriguing addition to one’s special event. For years, live painters were held in high esteem, and the paintings we created were considered exclusive and as many brides have shared, “the most valuable piece of art that I own.” The influx of inexperienced artists creating less than appealing paintings has damaged the reputation of our industry. More often, we hear from onlookers at the weddings we work that they hired a painter for their wedding, but the painting ended up in a closet. Wedding clients deserve better! When a client invests upwards of thousands of dollars in a work of art, it should be the work of a professional; a trained artist whose work reflects a portfolio that is consistent and interesting and moving.

I realized I have been answering the same one-off questions from newer and aspiring live wedding painters for years, and decided to take on the immense task of putting together all of the advice, instruction and knowledge of the industry into one massive, cohesive course. Moving forward, I hope this course and all of the 1-1 attention that comes with it serves as an immense resource for aspiring artists, and gives them the confidence to forge their own path as a live wedding painter.
