Oil portraits start at $800 for an 8"x10" child's headshot portrait, and increases in price according to the number of people included in the painting and the size of the canvas. Each quote is customized to fit your vision for your portrait. This cost does not include shipping and insurance which will be required.

Commissioned Painting FAQs
Yes I can! I use professional photos from your wedding as a reference for the painting. I complete the painting in my studio, and then upon your approval, I coat it with a protective varnish and ship it directly to you. Depending on your location, I may ship it stretched on the canvas, or if you are international, I will remove the canvas from the stretcher bars (frame) and ship it to you rolled in a tube.
Can you paint a picture of my wedding that has already happened?
After you submit an order form on my website (button below), and we agree on a canvas size and price, and you have sent me the reference photo to approve, I will send you a contract for the portrait order and invoice for a 25% deposit. Once these items have been handled, your oder will be added to my queue (list).

I tackle each order at a first come, first served basis. When commissions are open, and new orders are being accepting, I give a general deadline for all orders, usually a month or two away from the time the official order is made. If you would like your painting to be completely and shipped earlier than the general deadline, we can discuss an expedited fee. Please include your requested deadline in your inquiry.
Can I expedite my order?
I will retain the copyright and the right to show the piece in my portfolio, and will retain slides/computer files/pictures of it for use in exhibits, competitions, etc, including my website. However, I will agree to maintain the anonymity of the subject if requested. You will be granted a non-exclusive license of the image of your painting so long as you provide Torregrossa Fine Art with attribution each time you use it for personal use. Personal use includes, but is not limited to: in photos on your personal social media pages or profiles; or in personal creations, such as a reproduction for a home office or commercial office or other public area.
Do you keep a copyright of the image of my painting?
Yes! I professionally photograph every painting, and you are welcome to order a canvas print of your finished painting. Paper or canvas prints can be made available starting at $35.
Can I get a copy of the painting made?
The timeline will be determined by my schedule at the time you place your order. I create each portrait by hand, among other original works and personal projects. I will be transparent about an estimated timeline at the time of your order, and that timeline is subject to change, but generally the agreement is 6-8 weeks.
